Tommy Scuderi is a sports broadcaster based in North Jersey, with deep ties to the Lehigh Valley. Growing up, he was captivated by the voices in the booth, the way announcers captured big moments and made previously larger than life athletes feel familiar. That fascination sparked his passion for sportscasting and continues to shape his approach behind the microphone.
A graduate of Kutztown University, Tommy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with minors in Public Relations and Social Media Theory and Strategy, as well as a certificate in Television Production. At Kutztown, he called a wide range of sports for KUR and the PSAC Sports Digital Network while hosting and producing The Golden Hour, a weekly show covering Kutztown Athletics. During his senior year, he served as KUR’s Sports Coordinator, helping train and develop fellow student broadcasters. His work earned him recognition as an Intercollegiate Broadcasting System award finalist, along with an English Department award for his sports writing for The Keystone newspaper.
Tommy’s experience extends beyond the booth, including camera operation with the Somerset Patriots and hands-on work in video production, writing, interviewing, and content creation. Across every role, his goal remains the same: prepare thoroughly, bring energy to the moment, and tell the story the way it deserves to be told.
Since graduation, Tommy has worked as a freelance broadcaster with Kutztown University, Big State Sports, and Lehigh University - where he calls games on ESPN+. Tommy always welcomes new opportunites and encourages you to reach out if you or your program is in need of a versatile sports broadcaster.
